WOW! Where do I begin? When our family was looking for beachfront accomodations we never could have imagined a place like this. This is one special home you have here!! The beach and ocean out the front door and high-end shopping two blocks away had us ladies giggling! The house itself is amazing and is so charming with its classy Mexican finishes--NICE TOUCH!! We are going to contact you soon about available dates to host a large family reunion we are planning for 2010. It is awesome to think we could house everyone in our extended family in this one spot on the beach. Thank you so much for attending to our needs while we were there. The maid service was excellent and your on-site chef did an incredible job with meal planning. We can't wait to come back!!!!

"Our time here could not have been better. We are a group of 8 couples who do an annual vacation. If this place is in your price range, look no further, The location of the house is PERFECT , directly across from an uncrowded sandy beach and an easy 10 minute walk from the nightlife and shopping of Playa del Carmen-a town which, as one member of our group put it.......is tourist-friendly without being touristy. Some days we dragged out the cooler, set up the umbrella and had a perfect beach day. Other days we kayaked, visited Mayan Ruins or just chilled in town. We loved hanging out on the roof deck with our tunes and overall had a relaxing time. The house is well appointed and all the bedrooms are great. Another major plus for a big group: the airport is only 1 hour away. We have been doing the vacation as a group in villas for several years and I can confidently say that the combination of this house, the proximity to a perfect beach with soft sand and warm aquamarine water and walking distance to one of the coolest vacation towns we have visited-all just 1 hour away from the airport----simply cannot be beat!"

Shocking when we walked in!! This home is far nicer in person. We had 17 people here for 10 days and we had more than plenty of room. 3 of 5 families from Lee´s Summit, Mo and a family of 2 from Houston, TX. We had wonderful dinners with the large kitchen and great music system throughout.
Great snorkeling right outside, we saw 3 sting rays, lobsters, octupus and lots of fish. 10 minute walk to downtown Playa and ferry. Housekeeping was wonderful very nice and helpful! Paulina was very welcoming and loved her to stop by and ask how things were going. Very easy transportation from airport to here. Taxis were here within minutes so no rental car was needed! Thank you soooooooooo much!!!

Eli and Paulina,
I wanted to send you a note thanking you for your fabulous hospitality during our recent trip to Playa del Carmen a few weeks ago. We are still talking about what a spectacular trip that was and much of it was thanks to you and your wonderful staff!
First off, let me tell you that CASAS DEL SOL-Vista was phenomenal! The location right across from the beach was very convenient as were all of the beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, cooler) that you provided. Your section of the beach was very clean and peaceful -- even during Spring Break, we felt we had the place to ourselves. The ocean was clear and at least 10 shades of blue. Incredible! And yet we were only about a 500 yard walk along the beach to the pier and Senior Frogs and a few steps further to shopping and 5th Avenue.
I had heard all kinds of rumors about how dangerous Mexico was prior to our trip, but we saw nothing at all concerning on our trip. The gated community of Playacar felt very secure, but so did the town of Playa del Carmen. We walked to and from dinner most nights and felt comfortable enough to allow our teenage daughters to walk into town to shop during the day. Even after dark, we never had cause to worry as the streets were frequently patrolled by very friendly policemen on bicycles.
The villa itself offered first class accommodations with tons of room for two families to share. I've never seen a beach house that was so large. Upscale furnishings and high-end appliances but still very comfortable and very kid friendly. We leveraged all three refrigerators to keep all of our beverages ice cold and load our cooler for the beach. Your margarita machine got a lot of use!! The bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms were very luxurious. The bedding was very nice and we really liked the variation of the bedroom configurations (king bedrooms and two queen bedrooms). The 4 bedrooms in the garden-level were great for the kids. The splash pool and lounge chairs on the second floor with an excellent beach view were a relaxing alternative to the beach.
We did venture out beyond the villa, beach and town of Playa del Carmen to (1) scuba dive at the shop you recommended and (2) private guided tour the ruins of Tulum and participate in a full day of uniquely Mexican adventures such as snorkeling in an underground cenote, snorkeling with turtles in the ocean, snorkeling in a natural aquarium, zipline and cliff diving (Tulum Xtreme). In both cases, we were picked up at our front door and delivered to/from the activities by a very friendly, private driver. These two adventures were amazing and unlike anything we had ever done before with our kids.
All of this would have been good enough, but what took this vacation over the top and separated it from so many other wonderful vacations we've taken as a family was the incredible treatment we received from your staff -- from pre-trip planning to check-out, we were treated like royalty. Pre-arranged, private round trip transportation to/from Cancun airport, grocery shopping ahead of time, daily housekeeping, laundry service, margaritas, fresh guacamole and salsa upon arrival, meal service upon request, recommendations for restaurants, there was no detail left unattended to.
Paulina was fantastic! After checking us in and showing us all around the villa, she recommended a restaurant for dinner. She checked in on us mid-way through the week and helped us fix the oven that was so high-end we couldn't figure it out. She provided her cell phone and was gracious when we called with trivial questions like - "Where should we order pizza?" and "How do I call a cab to get to Sam's Club?" What a delightful woman! By the end of the trip I felt she was a friend.
Lupe & Aurelia (the villa's private housekeepers) were wonderful. Our Spanish was rusty (at best) and despite not speaking English, these two ladies seemed to read our minds. They not only thoroughly cleaned the villa every single day and laundered our clothes whenever we set them out for them, they made breakfast for us 3 days. We had ordered two mornings for breakfast service ahead of time, but their cooking was so delicious we added a third day.
Susan (the villa's private chef) was great. She shopped for us ahead of time and put everything away in the fridge and pantry. I had requested a certain brand of American beer that was hard to find in Mexico and she went to several places to find it for me. She made fresh lemonade for the kids and a pitcher of margaritas for us along with homemade chips, guacamole and salsa upon arrival. We had also hired her to prepare Tapas for dinner one night to help us celebrate our teenage daughters 18th birthday. Delicious! She is a wonderful chef and a very kind and accommodating lady.
The entire trip was first class but your staff was the highlight of our trip! Mexico and Playa del Carmen is now our standing Spring Break destination and CASAS DEL SOL-Vista is where we plan to stay!Jul
A perfect vacation! We had a big group and rented out both Vista and Altavista. Eli, Paulina, and everybody took great care of us. The houses have everything you could ask for, plenty of room, 2 beautiful roof top plunge pools with amazing views, a beautiful beach across the street, tv's, wifi, the works. And it was a lot more cost effective and comfortable than staying in a hotel. We felt perfectly safe, Playacar is a gated community and was very quiet. But if you want more hub bub the town is a short walk away. The houses were immaculate, we had them do the shopping before we got there and everything was ready to go when we arrived. And the food prepared by LUPE and AURELIA was a real highlight. Simple, authentic, and delicious. Their salsas and breakfasts in particular, (the chilaquiles were phenomenal). We can't wait to go back!

Staying at Casa Del Sol was the most relaxing beach vacation we have ever been on - and we had a baby and a 2yr old!!! You can walk out the door to the beach! Eli organized transportation from the airport, spa days (massages in the house), we had a private chef (Susan), and could stroll into town (10min walk) to enjoy shopping, restaurants, and catch the ferry to cozumel, she also organized deep sea fishing and an amazing scuba diving experience. We also enjoyed the plunge pool on the roof and hanging out playing games at night in the family room.
The house is beautiful and well maintained. We traveled with 4 families (10 people) and had rooms to spare. Also, a concern of mine when traveling with my family is safety, the house is in a gated community and I always felt very safe, even walking into town with the babies at night. All this and you would think it was a fortune, but all said and done when we split the cost between all the families, it was less expensive than our 5 day trip to Disney World! Much more relaxing too, you just need your suit and flip flops, you don’t even have to go to dinner if you arrange to have Susan!
My only request is that you don’t go the week we want to go back! ha! : )
Amy
